Mental Health in the Workplace Level 3 Instructor (VTQ) at a Glance

This course is designed to equip instructors with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver Workplace Mental Health courses. Delivered over two consecutive days, the programme includes a pre-study requirement that must be completed before attending the training session. The pre-study consists of video-based e-learning hosted on the ProTrainings platform, with a save-and-return feature so it can be completed at the learner’s own pace.

The pre-study must be completed before attending either a classroom-based session or a remote virtual session, depending on the delivery method shown on the course listing at the time of booking. Key topics include understanding mental health, recognising common mental health concerns, applying the management standards approach, and supporting employees who may be experiencing mental health-related challenges.

This course is specifically designed to prepare instructors to support employees, managers, and businesses in identifying potential workplace stressors and putting systems in place to manage and monitor them effectively. To attend this training, learners must already hold a regulated teaching qualification.

Our classroom courses are held at our training centre in Colchester. If you have a group of employees, we can also arrange for one of our professional trainers to deliver the course on-site at your premises. Where possible, we also offer virtual, online, and distance learning options. Some courses do require face-to-face attendance, and we also provide blended learning options to help reduce classroom time and minimise time away from home or work.

Reference Book 

Online video e-learning is completed as pre-study, followed by either a two-day remote virtual course or two-day classroom training, depending on demand.

Certification Prerequisites 

Level 3 Award in Education and Training Delegates must be aged 18 or over ProTrainings registered Instructor
